The Irish Charity Web Discussion Group was started in 2011 and is open to anyone who works directly for an Irish charity in the area of the web. We discuss design, development, ecampaigning, social media, fundraising, content and communications – you don’t need to be techy to take part.
The group has over 200 members, from over 100 different charities; and has proven to be a really useful resource for sharing ideas and seeking advice. We have frequent online discussions through a Google Group, and also meet up in Dublin city centre from time to time.

If you work with the web for an Irish charity (either full time or on a volunteer basis) you can sign up to join the group and find out more information about the meetings at groups.google.com/group/irish-charity-web.
The group is only open to people who work directly for registered charities and not to web agencies – this is to keep the discussions confidential, and so that members can speak freely about vendors, etc. If you offer a service that you think may be of use to the group, and would like to meet the group as a guest speaker, please contact Jean O’Brien on firstname.lastname@example.org.
